Weightless
These six chapters are about the division of the promised land among 11 tribes, the 12th tribe, the Levites didn't get their own lot because the priesthood of the Lord was their heritage.
The land finally got rest from wars and people of Israel settled down.
There is not much to say about these chapters but there is a lesson that is useful for us today.
Today...
We are living on this earth, we have our properties, we have our possessions and we are rooted here with our close friends, spouses, children and grandchildren. But our roots should be not on this earth. All these possession should not be a weight that is keeping us from moving towards God.
Of course it is possible to have possessions, family, and property and also move towards God.
Lets imagine that to get to God we need to be weightless. How do we get there?
I'm not talking about selling your house and everything you own, but you need to not be tied to what you own.
To become weightless first we need to give ourselves to God and be ready to be used for small and big things.
We also need to realize that what we possess is God's and He can use it through us for whoever and whenever He needs to and if we are not attached to our possessions then we will be okay with that.
We also need to give our worries to God, headaches about our jobs, about family problems and about people that are close to us, give it all up to God. Now that doesn't mean stop praying about it, but pray without being weighted down by it.
When we become weightless and not rooted in this world then it becomes easy to truly love Jesus.
