Deuteronomy 31
God is with us as long as we're with Him
This is one of the final chapters of this book, Moses gives his blessing to Joshua to be the leader of God's people.
This is one of the final chapters of this book, Moses gives his blessing to Joshua to be the leader of God's people.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them[other nations], "for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. "He will not leave you or forsake you." (verse 6)
Today...
I carry this verse with me everyday. I relate it to my everyday life because I know that God is with me in every battle spiritual that I will go through in that day, and I need to be strong and courageous because God Himself is on my side.
But God is on my side ONLY as long as I'm on His side, it is impossible to be friends with the world and be on God's side. We have to be careful and see the line between the two.
Later on in this chapter God speaks to Moses and tells him that these people will go into their promised land but they will eventually forget the law and their Lord and turn to other gods. SO God tells Moses to also write a song that these people can memories and when they forget the law and turn their hearts away from the Lord this song will be in their minds and it will be judging them.
Moses writes the song as well, and it is described in the next chapter.
