One of my frequent prayers...

"Do not forsake me, o LORD!
      O my God, be not far from me" Psalm 28:21
 
This prayer could be understood and viewed different ways, I want to write about this one particular way...

I pray like this all the time-- for God to never leave me, and for Him to always be there with me. But when I think about it, God never turns away from me, or ever forgets me, it is I who turn away from Him and forget Him sometimes.

God was always there and always will be; whether I believe in Him or not, whether I obey His rules or not will not effect that. God exists and that's the truth!

I do not want to turn away from Him, and live my life without Him. Yes, living by the Word of God can be very challenging in this world, especially when most of the people do not believe in the God who is Jesus the Savior, Holy Spirit and Heavenly Father all in one. But Jesus came and lived on this earth and showed that with God everything is possible.

It is so easy to loose the sight of my goal; to be who He wants me to be, and to show people the way to Him through my actions and my words. But again Word of God reminds me over and over again, that for people who love God everything is possible.

We know when we turn away from God, but pretend that everything is fine, we convince ourselves to the point where we believe that what we did or said was not "that" bad and God is by our side, but...  in reality we've wondered so far away from Him that we can't even feel whether He is with us or not.

What’s the deal with Easter, is it even real?

I wonder how many people actually understand the meaning of Easter? Not just people, but people that say they’re followers of Christ.  If you’re celebrating something I would think you need to know the history behind it, right? I might be to naive to believe people care about history these days, but as a firm believer in Jesus Christ history is very important to me.  Yes, history!
