God is close

I recently saw this message that captured my attention, I don't remember exactly what it said but it was along these lines...

Do you know why God does yell out to you but instead whispers to you? It's because He's right next to you.

I have really thought of it this way, I just always imagined God as calm and organized and that's why I never pictured Him yelling out, but the thought of God being so close that He doesn't need to yell out to me is so comforting and encouraging.

I know those days and weeks where I don't feel God's presence at all, I feel all alone and unloved. It's life... there are ups and there are downs, and there's nothing we can do about it.

This is a little tip of how I handle the 'lows' of life.

So I came to this point in my life where I mentally prepare myself for the 'lows' of my life. It's funny to me now that I write this, but when everything is going smoothly for a while I'm always in suspicious that something upsetting or a 'low' is going to happen so I should just expect it and not be surprised by it. And sure enough the enjoyable times do not last forever and when something does happen I was already prepared for it, and I'm not so devastated.
